About Us

J Lawry Healthcare Management designed with the patient in mind.

After a career in Sports Physiotherapy, including being physiotherapist for Police Sport UK and therapist for a large hospice in the south of England, I moved into healthcare consultancy after being a carer for my mother. It was such an extraordinary experience that I felt I had to use everything I had seen and learnt, everything the amazing doctors and nurses had said to me, to become a champion for patients and their families. I have over 25 years experience in healthcare encompassing the management of all aspects of health and social care programmes with a strong emphasis on improving outcomes and experiences for patients and their families. I have also written several major reports, including a detailed investigation into Mental Health services in Hampshire, Mental Health services in Bristol & South Gloucestershire and an investigation into the impact of COVID19 on the Mental Health and wellbeing of frontline NHS staff. I’m proud to have played a pivotal role in the rollout and management of the COVID19 testing programme for Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire County as well as being a St. John’s Ambulance Vaccinator.

I’m honoured that my company has received numerous awards including my work with the NHS Clinical Leaders Network which resulted in being shortlisted for the HSJ Workplace Initiative of the Year 2021.

I also have an active programme of voluntary work for the county of Gloucestershire; I am an active member of the Gloucestershire Emergency Support Team (GEST) and Child Safeguarding Governor of Hopelands Preparatory School in Stonehouse, a role I absolutely love – the energy and vitality of working with teachers and other education staff is just fantastic, even at the end of a long day — a conversation with one of them just lifts me up and it gives me an opportunity to share my skills and experience.

My career has brought me a rich variety of experiences, knowledge and skills and I would be delighted to work with you on your next programme of health and social care improvement. As a former clinician, I understand the pressures in the modern health and social care environment — remembering the person at the centre of it all. That’s why my company, J Lawry Healthcare Management, is designed with the patient in mind.
